    STUDIO POLICY & RULES

    1. Tuition is due on the first of the month and late fees apply after the 15th of the month.  A $20.00 late fee will be charged on all late payments.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Tuition is based on a 10-month school year and is the same amount each month, regardless of how many weeks are in a given month. All fees are non-refundable.

    2. There will be a $25.00 service fee for all returned checks due to insufficient funds and closed accounts.

    3. TDH accepts cash, check, debit, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

    4. There are no refunds or adjustments made for missed classes.  Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance.  Students missing class will be allowed to make-up their missed class.  If so, they have two months to make up their class by attending another class as a make-up.

    5. Annual registration fee due in September or at the time of first registration.

    6. Class sizes are limited to 10-15 students.  However, based on instructor preference, the class size may vary.  If a class has reached maximum capacity, a waiting list may be started.  It is the parent and/or the student’s responsibility to notify the studio if they wish to drop out of a class/classes, so that students on the waiting list can be added.

    7. Please notify our office of any class schedule changes or new contact information (email, phone, and/or address), as well as changes in emergency contact information.  It is the parents’ responsibility to inform us if they are not receiving updates that are sent out via email.

    8. We reserve the right to have substitute teachers if deemed necessary.

    9. Each year,TDH presents its Dance Recital in June which enables all our students the opportunity to showcase their dance skills and routines.  This event is held in a professional theater and requires students to purchase a costume(s) for each class in which they are enrolled should they choose to participate.

    10. If your child is going to miss classes due to illness, school events, vacation, financial problems, change in schedule, or any other factors interfering with their attendance, then please notify us as soon as possible.

    11. Only water is allowed into the studios during class time.  No gum chewing or food is permitted whatsoever.

    12. It is the responsibility of parents to pick up their child immediately following their class/classes.  We advise parents of younger dancers (3-6 years old) to stay at the studio while their child is in class.  Parents must supervise younger siblings while in the viewing area.  Absolutely no loud or disruptive behavior will be tolerated.  Younger siblings must stay in the viewing areas with their parents where they can be supervised while older siblings are in class.  Absolutely no playing in the parking lot.

    13. Students who are late on a regular basis may be asked to sit and watch or be switched to another class that better suites their schedule.  It is very disruptive to the entire class.  We understand that occasionally this may occur, but please make every effort to be on time for class.

    14.  Solos, Duets & Trios are by invitation of the Director only.

    15.  POINTE:  Students will only be considered for pre pointe if they are at least 13 years old, are attending at least 2 ballet classes per week and show sufficient strength and control. Pointe and Pre Pointe students must have their feet examined and a letter of approval from their physician.

    16. Students, parents and teachers are expected to pick up after themselves. Do not bring valuables. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost & found is donated to Goodwill monthly.

    17. Students, parents and teachers are expected to conduct themselves with respect for each other and for the Academy at all times. A cooperative environment is essential for learning.

    18. The Dance House LLC reserves the right to refuse service.

    STUDIO CLOSINGS

The studio calendar is set with Holmdel Township Public Schools. If Holmdel Schools are closed for holiday, then the studio will be closed…with the exception of school closings for teacher meetings. We will have classes on those days. There will not be a deduction for the classes missed for holidays or inclement weather studio closings. This is taken into consideration when the studio calendar and fees are set for the upcoming year. A make-up class may be offered at the discretion of the instructor for such ocassions.

    INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

If Holmdel Township Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the studio will also be closed.
